Innovation
April 22, 2026
Whenever I touch upon the subject of Home as a concept or object (see the previous episode), I always think that English speakers are lucky to have two words to outline this nuance:
If in the previous email we talked about what equates to the English Home, here we can move on to the House. We thus enter the concrete world, the one that belongs to us most: construction, where architecture and engineering lead the way.
In this regard, I must take you back about 12-13 years: a time jump necessary to understand the way Bianchetti builds Houses.
For client privacy, a momentary lack of imagination, and exhibition minimalism, I will call them House XIII and House XIV.
We are on the third floor of a six-story condominium, in a residential area north of Brescia. It is 2013 and we have purchased an apartment to make it a home with all the innovative and technological characteristics necessary for it to become efficient, comfortable, and beautiful. Thus House XIII was born.

The starting building is a former bakery with an attic. In 2014, we purchased it to transform it into a Class A home, consisting of a commercial space and garage on the ground floor, plus an apartment with a mezzanine on the first floor. House XIV, precisely.

Easy: the construction methodology, the applied technologies, and the care in detail. Here they are explained a bit better.
We worked on all dispersing surfaces, such as external walls, windows, the roof… the goal was not only thermal comfort but also acoustic, to ensure high living standards.

Underfloor heating and cooling powered by a heat pump make the heat perceived uniformly in the environment. An advanced home automation system (KNX) allows for easy management of the home system. All this, integrated by photovoltaic panels for greater energy autonomy.

We used materials and products of a certain type, from internal doors to floors and wall coverings, up to lighting and bathroom ceramics.

House XIII and House XIV are among our first real estate projects, born with the vision of bringing all Bianchetti standards within the same House. They condense construction speed, living comfort, and energy self-sufficiency.
They are somewhat the symbol of a value dear to us: innovation. An ingredient that lies in products and processes. That evolves with experience. That brings value.
It makes quite an impression, in 2026, when sustainability is more of a trend than a concrete approach, to look back and realize that those houses were truly energy efficient already in 2014.
And what do you think? Can you imagine living in a house of the future?
Until the next episode,
