Immersed in the quiet of a village in the Ticino Park, this farmhouse from the early 1900s represents the evolution of the "home" concept during the pandemic. Initially thought of as a second property to escape from the city, it became, by necessity and desire, the family's main residence.

The project required a complete revision of both spaces and systems, with the goal of making the building energy efficient and suitable for daily livability. The challenge was to respect the historical soul of the building while equipping it with the most modern living technologies. Today the farmhouse presents itself as a harmonious organism divided into three souls: a large master part, an independent apartment dedicated to the son, and a wonderful outdoor space that acts as a natural extension of the house towards the protected landscape of the park.
The recovery of the original volumes allowed for creating large and welcoming spaces. Here, well-being and functionality were placed at the center of every design choice.
